matching up uneven drawbar problem

Hi folks
I have some organ tracks where the tone is noticably different in different registers on the keyboard. It's inherant with the instrument but the player is not that advanced with changing drawbars on the fly.
Has anyone tried leveling things out with Harbal?
I'll give it a go next week when we are done tracking and report back but I'm curious to hear if anyone has tried this.
