Hyper Threading Problem Solved

I could not find my original message so I'm posting a new one.
The hyper threading problem got solved after I did a fresh WinXP installation.
I think that the problem occurred because my original XP installation was done with a non-hyper threading processor and then I just installed a processor with it and the OS didn't adjust accordingly.
Har-Bal wasn't the only program acting funny. Adobe Acrobat was also freezing up after the upgrade. Both programs work fine now.
