HarBal 2.3 stopped opening

I recently upgraded my DAW computer to Windows 7 64 bit. In addition to my HarBal v. 3, I like to maintain a v. 2.3 copy for a quick spectral analysis, since it opens quicker, analyzes quicker and spins off less analysis files. At first, it worked fine, but a few days later, after a Windows update, it refused to open. I reinstalled it, I turned off 'user account control' and created an exception in DEP but still no luck. Any suggestions?
