Re: Cannot get full start up of Harbal 3 on Laptop

Thanks for the reply Paavo.

I've just carried out a diagnostic check on DirectX with no problems found...strange.
I guess I'll wait for the 64bit build of Harbal to see if that alters anything. Any idea when you'll have the 64bit build available ?

Thanks.

Cannot get full start up of Harbal 3 on Laptop

Hi Paavo/Earle First of all: Happy New Year to you both. :D I'm trying to use Harbal 3 (licensed final 3.01 version) on my Windows 7 64bit latop. I have an ASIO driver for my Novation X station and onboard Realtek chip utilising ASIO4All available, but Harbal does not see either one. Both of these A...

Re: Let's Talk

Hi Paavo,

Are we anywhere near to a release I can pay for ?
My beta license has expired again and it's getting to be a pain for me to keep asking for a new one.
I'm sure it must be getting to be a pain for you to supply another one.

Cheers

Re: Let's Talk

Probably not posted in the right place. How far away are you from an official release I can pay for ? I've just tried to install Harbal 3 on my shiny new 64 bit Win 7 PC and the Beta license has run out (expected that anyway really). Love this new Harbal, I don't think I could work without it... :D

Re: Any news about next version

I've put a posting up on KVR to let people know about the Beta of version 3.

I hope you don't mind, but I thought it might have been a while since some Harbal owners had stopped by here and wouldn't know about the version 3 news.

Re: New Release?

Hi Darren01274, It's probably best if you have a read through one of the other forum posts where I asked what to expect for the next version. Paavo goes into some detail about what he hopes to have in the next version. No price/upgrade information as yet, but I expect Paavo and Earle are thinking ab...

Re: Any news about next version

Hi Paavo,

What are the chances of us all getting a Festive Holiday surprise in the form of a Beta to work with :?:

Hopefully it won't be too long before something is let loose...

Re: Any news about next version

That's good news Paavo.

Are you talking about having an open beta :) or only for a select few...

Looking forward to yet another step up for mastering from Harbal. Excellent work.

Re: Any news about next version

Thanks for keeping us updated on your progress Paavo.

The player application sounds like a good idea and I look forward to trying that as well.

If you need some people to test the alpha, count me in (running XP on desktop and laptop with vista)

All the best for 2010. :D

Re: Any news about next version

Hi Paavo, I can understand you wanting to restrict the amount of new features (otherwise you will never finish it). I am a bit puzzled by "complex time selection" ? That is not option to split a song file into many sections and being able to apply different filters to each section is it ? ...

Re: Any news about next version

That sounds (no pun intended  ) like things are progressing nicely. I think we would all expect that with the increase in capabilities of Harbal, an obvious increase in CPU clocks would result. I'm looking forward to trying out the "multiband compression" aspect of the new Harbal as w...

Re: Any news about next version

Hi Paavo, Just a short call to see how the rewrite is going ? I presume by now you are tackling the GUI and refining the filter engine. I'm hoping to be able to use some kind of Beta by year end, but if it's not to be, that's fine. Better to be well written/tested and take a while to get out. if you...

Re: Any news about next version

Hi Paavo,

Just a curious user wanting to know how the new Analysis Engine and Gui is shaping up.

Hopefully, you are now on the top side of the re-write and have the light at the end of the tunnel showing you the way to the end (of the Beta version).

All the best...
