You bet it can. Also the speakers on which you mix with can too. Dan, Thanks for your reply. I mix on HR-824's. When I make the correction with HarBal, it sounds better through the 824's...But I think my room is probably to blame. Low celing, carpeted floor, brick and wood panels on the walls. Yuk.

Deficiency Between 5-8 kHz in All My Mixes As Per HarBal

My mixes all have a dip in them right between 4.8 - 8 kHz. When I correct this in HarBal, the cymbals become much more clear sounding and the entire mix gets a certain sheen to it. My question is what causes a deficiency such as this? I am using good microphones (AT4050, 4040, Rode NTK etc...). I us...
