The reason I suggested this is because I find myself A/B'ing between two different mixes and being able to define markers means I can quickly switch between different sections of the same song to compare the sound between the mixes. I would be nice if it was possible to have some kind of time scale on the TPS so it's easier to locate places in the song and even nicer would be some kind of marker system so one can store difererent loctions in a marker list and jump between them .

If it is an idividual instrument issue and you have access to the tracking then just look at the spectrum of the track for the snare drum on its own.
