ahhh righty oh! its quite disruptive situation for the workflow. having found nice creative ways to use har-bal during mixing its a bit of a pain having to close my main sequencer/recorder in order to process a track in har-bal. its not a massive issue, but it is one none-the-less. anyway, i'm reall...

Re: Har-Bal + Sonar 5

What is the best "bit" management process when using Har-Bal and Sonar 5 together? Assuming my project is 24 bit, should I export the wav file in 24 bit or 32 bit? Seems like Har-Bal can read 32 bit). And then, once harbalized, should I dither down to 16 bit in Har-Bal or bring it back in...

I agree totally with your assessment mgc3003.com. I have just purchased Har-Bal last week and used it and the advice associated with it to master 2 tracks I thought I had completed. The difference is not subtle - it is significant - and very positive. When I first did the A/B comparison in Har-Bal ...

Possible Dual Monitor Bug

hey, i seem to have a slight issue with harbal and my dual monitor setup. whenever the record or analysis progress windows open, they open with one half off the very right of the desktop (right hand side of righthand monitor) so you have to move it to see the percentage figures. only a minor one. ch...

Re: spectral copyright.

hey peeps, is the spectral profile of a copyrighted piece of music also included in that copyright? I have already checked on this. There is no law that stops you from copying the spectral image of a song. You are not copying the song itself only the placement of the frequencies in the sound spectr...

Re: More .anl files, please

It would be nice to have more ".anl" files available for more genres, and perhaps for specific songs and song-types. For instance, if I had done a song I wanted to sound like, oh, Bing Crosby's "White Christmas", or Metallica's "Enter Sandman"--it would be nice to be able to use "White_Christmas.an...

Thanks for the input. That is interesting that Vintage Warmer has multiband compression. People seem to like that one and I will try the demo (but there are a lot of people trying to grab that $450 so you better be quick to beat out Digidesign, waves, and the others who think my money is theirs). Re: Reading wave files from a CD

Hello folks You can't record wave files stored on a CD because Har-Bal creates an (.anl) file after analysis. Since a CD is read only it will be impossible to record a newly EQ'd file since the .anl file is non-existent. If you attempt to do this it will stay at 0% Solution Instead of reading from ...

I'd say this record looks more like a 4 x 12. And what's great, with Har-Bal and T-RackS, I (or anyone) can acheive this 'effect'. And it never goes over '0' on playback! There is a major problem making a song this loud. It would be robbed of its dynamic range. -4.5 average rms is the actual destru...

For people with version 1.51 who are experiencing difficulties loading certain 24 bit file formats. The original release of version 1.51 had a build of LIBSNDFILE that was a bit buggy and resulted in some files not being readable. The updated version of LIBSNDFILE fixes this. Paavo. Ahh ok thanks f...
