Hi Robert, The unpredicatability of EQ matching (as you've experienced with CurveEQ) sounds just like my experiences from early prototype versions of HarBal. That is exactly why I ditched it as an approach. On the other hand, now that HarBal is established and we have got the message out about it n...

I was against EQ matching initially but not anymore. Ive been using Voxengo curve EQ for specific instruments matched with eq from a CD source. The results are interesting and sometimes useable. Ive also used the eq match on a stereo master using curve eq. The results are unpredictable and as of yet...

Hi Paavo, Apologies for my very late response. Thank you very much for taking the time to explain things to me. I have to be honest and say that much of what you said is over my head, but I have read it many times and hopefully some of it will sink in Thanks again, and its nice to know that you took...

Paavo---Yamaha MSP20 Monitors. The worst in the world?

Hi Paavo, Im posting this on the off chance you may have heard the Yamaha MSP20's. Generally I dont think I have been comfortable using them since I bought them. I suspect because I paid more for them than any other speakers (1800 euros) I may have conditioned myself to believe they are good. About ...

Re: Educational uses

, i was stunned by the result, doing an A-B comparision of mastered and not. I'm a rank beginner and got a good result, plus learned a bunch for the next time around. DAN Good for you Dan. I know what you mean. Ive been doing this for fifteen years and Har Bal has taught me a lot of stuff from the ...

Thats the exact question I was going to ask today. I use a PC in the studio, but it will be great to have Har Bal for my Mac Powerbook. BTW, Earle/Paavo, Seeing as Apple have announced they will be using Intel chips in the future does this change your plans for OSX...I mean does this make it easier ...

I to am a little suprised that Har Bal isnt bigger. Obviously I mean no disrespect to Paavo, and Earle when I say that, and for all I know it may have sold by the truckload........but as audio software goes Har Bal is pretty unique and it WORKS... personally Im a little tired of new VST instruments,...

Yeh, I guess your right. Its a bit like asking them to look in to the future with a crystal ball, and come to think of it my question was completely non product related so its probably a bit on the personal side. Of course I very much hope they do stick around Thanks for the explanation on the forum.

Couple of Questions For Hal Bar team

This may seem a very strange question and I would understand if there was no reply. But my question is serious....I have been caught out in the past with relying on a certain software package or plugin, and then the company vanishes. One in particular was a plugn called rAlkaline for Pro tools mix s...
