I could not find my original message so I'm posting a new one. The hyper threading problem got solved after I did a fresh WinXP installation. In the July 2007 issue of Sound on Sound magazine there's a note about Har-Bal 2.3. It is in the PC Notes section (page 171 of the USA/International Edition).

In the February 2007 edition of EQ Magazine Craig Anderton has an article titled "Practical Mastering". In it he mentions Har-Bal as his favorite tool to tweak EQ.
