Great!Look forward to that!
Hey just saw you had a mention in "EQ" magazine, in a mastering article.
Saw it in borders today but not sure if it was the latest issue(airfreight)
or a month or two old

Re: the limiter -should it be doing this

thanks, i will consider those options , also i made a mistake and limited with a ceiling of only- 0.03db not -0.3 as stated. I was just trialling the version of xenon (they have it on sale at the minute) and the decimal place snuck by me :) So even tho har bal keeps the volume level 'unchanged' duri...

the limiter -should it be doing this

i loaded a file in har-bal after it had gone through my mastering chain and had been limited by psp's xenon limiter plug (limited to ceiling -0.3db) i wanted to just check all my frequencies were in check and maybe make a fine adjustment in the low mid range in harbal after adding a little warmth/co...

I see har-bal mentioned in this australian magazine latest issue.

well it works for me!

what i've been doing is using intuit eq across the whole range then re shaping certain peaks/valleys using the 1/12 octave process as introduced in V2.3. Its quite quick and gives me confidence to hear that it isn't too off the track from the original but does always sound better. When i'm re-shapin...

mixing in mono???

I was just reading stavs book 'mixing with your mind' and saw it mentioned here on another post.. He talks about spending a lot of mix time on a song, working in mono (and actually just through 1 speaker) Do you pan all your tracks centre when doing the mono mix on the one speaker? Or do you work wi...

mix control?

i wonder if it would be possible to have a "mix" control. sometimes you find you might want to 'wind' back in a bit more of the original mix. wonder if it would work?
