After reading the example I think I get what you are asking now. The start and end points are frequency ranges. I think that they are recommending that you select start and end points for IntuitQ only at points where the audio is dominant. IntuitQ used to do it's calculations based upon more of the ...

I think you may be confusing the har-bal display with that of an audio editor. In an audio editor the X-axis (horizontal) is time and the Y-axis (vertical) shows you amplitude. In har-bal the X-axis is frequency and the Y-axis is in decibels. So there is no time dimension in the graph. So, you can't...

If you do a search on your computer for *.anl you will find that an .anl file is created by Har-bal for every wav file you open with it. So, to use a reference, all you have to do is to go to ...

If you are comparing two recordings, you can use the Equalizer->Match Loudness feature and Har-Bal ...

Hello, For a cd extraction tool (ripper) I would recommend ExactAudioCopy from www.exactaudiocopy.de . It's the best. After extracting the file, why don't you just open the file with Har-Bal and play it? Other free options for playback are Foobar2000, or Audacity. Much better than Realplayer!!! How ...

Does Har-Bal have the ability to help me adjust my sound levels to 85Decibles as recommended in previous responses to this thread? Do I need a Sound Meter? How does it work? Thanks, Lucky I was speaking about how to set the loudness of your playback system so that you can make the best decision reg...

When making decisions about equalization, it is important to listen at a calibrated level. For me on loudspeakers I usually shoot for about 85 decibels. (A loudness meter is a must to keep around for setting or rechecking your listening level.) The reason for the calibrated level is because we human...

Paavo,
Maybe in a future release let the user specify a high and low freq limit for the application of IntuitQ.
