Avatars are cute little pictures that a user can asign to their profile to show up in the forum...being that this is a business forum for customer service and support, and that it can be a total waste of bandwidth I opted to disable avatars due to the professional appearance I felt we should maintain.

That is interesting that Vintage Warmer has multiband compression. Vintage Warmer is an awesome plug. I never look at emulations in whether or not it sounds like the thing it's emulating or not, I just listen to if it sounds good or not. Exact same way I look at amp modellers, it's about the sound ...

However, the logic of Earle's step by step presentation: to identify peaks on the top line and bring them down, then identify valleys on the bottom line and bring them up -- implies that somehow it can be done independently.

oh, well, that kinda changes things, that is really weird...thanks for clearing it up. Now the phpbb web site got hacked and is down, so I will have to wait for checking in to it. Just FYI, the server was apparantly hacked from a vulnerability in AWStats, a common log analyzing app. But, they could ...

my first thought is, well, how are you posting now then, mys econd thought is, log out, go into your cookies and delete all cookies created by Har-Bal.com and log back in and see if that helps. Not having built PHPBB myself (my forums are better :-) ) I can't really see where it would even be happen...

Interesting, never heard of this problem before, and never experienced it myself. Does it happen every time? Also on posting new topics or just replies? Does it ever log you out automagically?

I steer away from formal treatments myself unless I need to. Near field monitors are designed to have as little of impact as possible made by the environment. Tohelp lessen things like bass resonance, you can try simple things like putting a tall bookshelf at an angle in the corners of of the room, ...

And isn't that filter sharing web tool just the grooviest :: pats self on back :: :D The personal attention and support is one of the things that truly sets Har-Bal appart from the others. Lots of companies give lip service to support, Har-Bal goes WAY over and above the call of duty. Kudos to Earle...
