Hmmm - that's what I thought. I was very curious about Bob Katz' stereo imaging technique, particularly the processes employed in his DD-2 K-Stereo imager. He discussed this topic in his book Mastering Audio but was rather coy about it when applying it to mastering, only referring to this unit, the ...

Insights into Imaging: In addition to the process discussed on this forum (affectionately known as the "L- R thingy"), are there any other processes/secrets used that can solidify and enhance a mix's image? I've been attempting to research, via the Internet, the Haas effect and how it woul...

Two ideas for key commands

Greetings! I have two suggestions for some convenience features for Har-Bal. The first one involves the Match Loudness feature. Frequently when I need to use reference files they are, of course, often louder due to compression/limiting. This will often incur "overs" in the source if I atte...

If I may add my two cents - I'm in total agreement regarding the soundstage of a properly EQ'ed track. It's also been my frequent (& pleasant) experience when using Har-Bal, that properly applying what's needed, EQ-wise, does open up the soudstage. This really helps give a track fullness, body &...
