need all y'alls opinion

hey guys

http://www.adamcarmony.com/twpiece.com

This is a piece of a song I'm going to be having mastered in about a week, I was wondering if you guys could give me your opinion on the mix, especially if you're familiar with the pop/rnb genre.

I was trying to emulate the warm sound of studio compressors, so I used the "warm" feature of the RComp on just about everything, even if not much compression was applied. Now I think I may have used it too much and made it sound too warm/gritty/foggy.

Unfortunately I had to produce all the tracks in my living room and while I've got some solid KRK monitors, my monitoring setup is less than acceptable. Also, producing my own vocals has been an issue to me too because they always sound different/weird to me.

I only have the budget to go to mastering 1 time, so I gotta make sure I bring solid mixes for the engineer to work with. If you have time to check out the clip and hear any potential mix problems, please let me know!!!

Thanks dudes.

Adam,

That link doesn't work for me. Are you sure it is correct?

Adam

I created a filter for you with very slight changes (Check your email). The song has great commercial potential and should already be playing on the radio. You are very talented.

Cheers

Awesome, thanks Earle. I feel better about it now. I see what you did with the filter, bringing down some of that resonance in the mids, etc.

Thanks :)
