HB 2.0 Beta: Cursor Focus Indicator?

What is the significance of the little green box at the bottom/right side of the HB 2.0 Beta screen labeled (with text flyover), "Cursor Focus Indicator?"

It shows you which line you are working on. If you switch to the peak view it will turn yellow. One of the customers suggested that change.
