can someone tell me where i can find more information on them as in what they are and how to spot them in har-bal ?

It's a rather nebulous issue as it depends entirely on the context which is the track. Simply put, if you apply version 2.2 intuitQ to the track spectrum the areas where IntuitQ applied a big boost can be though of as a spectrum hole. It might be a justifiable spectrum hole (ie. shouldn't be boosted) if the track doesn't have an instrument ocupying that part of the spectrum. That is why it depends on the context.

If you haven't already done so read the tutorial in the help file (select Help/Example Tutorial menu item in Har-Bal) as it covers this notion and a lot of other pertinent information in some detail.
