Vertical Scale

Post by tcatzere »

Paavo,

How do you interpret the left vertical dB scale? I'm particularly interested in the "x +10dB . . ." Just what does that mean and how do you convert it into "raw" dB?

It literally means take the number on the scale and mutliply it by that figure. For example, for the tick mark with the number 2 against it that would be 20dB. It is done so that the numbers on the axis can be kept as small as possible so as to no clutter the axis.

Cheers,

Paavo.

That's what I assumed. Thanks for the confirmation.
