I just recieved a sound card to eval/review for for a hardware manufacturer. Upon uninstalling the old and installing the new it errored loading the ASIO driver in Har-Bal...obviously because the card was not there anymore.

Perhaps a try/catch could be put around the driver loader when starting HarBal that loads OS's default drivers if the chosen driver does not exist anymore. Then have a more firendly dialog popup that says "Har-Bal could not find your selected driver and has reset itself to the default OS driver".

Essentially saying "Our app is so smart it knew the card wasn't there and loaded an alternate driver" rather than the big, evil "ERROR" message :wink:
