Parallels, XP and Har-Bal on a MacBook Pro

Howdy!
I have been trying to run Har-Bal on my intel Mac and when I load in my file, I want to hear it. I push "play" and the counter does not move. What gives? Anyone? If I can never hear it play, the program will be useless....
