Ah, what are your recommended Reference tracks? I know this is per what you are trying to match, but, maybe we can get some ideas here. Like, if I'm doing something U2-ish, then...., or something Neil Finn-ish, then...., etc.

If you are doing something U2'ish you can just create a reference file from an actual U2 song.
I will outline the steps below. Of course if you can get the song sounding U2'sh in the mix and then open it in Har-Bal you can just look for the parts of the spectrum that are unbalanced and make the correction(See manual)
Below are the steps to create a reference file.
1. Open Har-Bal
2. Load any song file
3. Go to the directory from where you loaded the song
4. You will find a file with your song name with a (.anl) extension.
5. This can now be used as a reference file in the future.
