I can't think of exactly how to word the question, but if you pull a peak down a half inch.....(of course this implys your screen is the same as mine), but approximately how many db's have you changed for the frequency?

While your dragging the curve with the gain tool look down at the status line. You will see that it displays the centre frequency and the current power level at the centre frequency. With a little mental arithmetic subtract the current value from the value where you've started and you've got it.

In version 1.5 it is even easier than this. You can show a graph of the filter frequency response for the filter you've created that will show it to you directly.
