Hi,

sorry for this maybe being a question totaly out of the dark...but... can it be said
that Harbal make a impulse responce of the audio ..calculating the frequence ??

I think you are on the right track.

HarBal analyzes the track given a power spectrum estimate as a result. You then sculpt that spectrum into the shape you want by creating a filter with an appropriate frequency response. That frequency response is then translated into the time domain to create an impulse response that is used in implementing the FIR equalisation filter.
