hi, can anyone help me??
i have nuendo and waves platinum collection (very nice they are too!!)
i recently had to format my drive and as a result the lettering of my hard drives has changed.
i have re installed nuendo and waves but now when i go to open an old song in nuendo i get an error saying 'plug in not loaded'
however if i create a new song, the plug ins are all available!!
very curious!!

i wonder if anyone has experienced something like this before?

please can u help me as its doin my nut in!!

It looks as though the last songs you had saved in Nuendo were saved as project files with all settings and plugins that were used. When you attempt to open these tracks it then searches for the same setup. (But now, the location changed)
That would explain why you don't receive this error when you are creating a new project.

hi earle.

yeah i figured thats what was happenin but do u have any idea how i can point these old files at the correct folder?

another thing i have tried is adding the new location of plug ins to the 'shared vst plugins' window (plug in information) however when i update the progress window gets as far as wave shell, then stops updating!!

please, anyone??

the actual error message is DirectX wrapper, plug in not loaded.

does anyone know of the function of this wrapper?

so far i have managed to summise that i need the newest version of this wrapper to get rid of this annoying message

any help out there would be greatly appreciated!!

Solution is below.

Please download "vstdx.dll Version: 3.37" from:
http://service.steinberg.de/webdoc_ps_i ... _pro_pc_en and replace the old one on your hard drive.
