WELL I SEE YOU guys all have certain mastering chains you use.But i though i could skip all that and just mix down a track export to har-bal....then limit the track right in har-bal....or match loudness with my refrence?.....i dont understand why use the Multiband compressor.....shouldnt the match loudness work ..... after i run the filters in harbal?
for me to optain a loud signal just like my refrence file
HAR-BAL ....LIMITER?
Hi,
Multiband compression is really a compression mechanism. A limiter has very diff functionality as a compressor. Thus, multi band compression is really outside the scope of HarBal.
True, you may not need to use multi band compression...but msot peopel that I know uses it. Same goes with limiter...not everyone uses a limiter especially for traditional classical pieces.
