Hi folks
Can harbal be used to match up the tone of different sounding parts of a comped vocal track?
If so.....how's it done?
cheers

You will probably love the new version because it automates this process.

Look at the comparisons:

Currentl version
1. Load the first vocal track to be used as a reference into Har-Bal
2. Click on File/Close
3. Load the second vocal track
4. Click on the "open a reference" button and browse to the 1st Vocal track and find the .anl it created and click open
5. You will see the reference in the background
6. Use the mouse to manually match the second Vocal trak to the reference

New Version 2.2 (free upgrade for registered users)

1. Load the first vocal track to be used as a reference into Har-Bal
2. Click on File/Close
3. Load the second vocal track
4. Click on the "open a reference" button and browse to the 1st Vocal track and find the .anl it created and click open
5. You will see the reference in the background
6. Click on the intuitMatch button and the file will be instantly match.
7. Save the file..you are done

Hi Earle
Thanks for the quick reply.
How big does the refrence file have to be? Can it be part of the track that is getting fixed and will it remain unchanged?
cheers

You can use any wave file as a reference. Any file that is loaded into Har-Bal automatically creates a 3kb .anl file that can be used as a reference.

The reference file does not change. It is the guide that enables you to sculpt your main track.
