Not sure?

Post by eddies880 »

Im really new to the Har-Bal,and very new to using a PC as a means of eq,ing my sources, everything I do,is outside of the pc world,Id love to use the har-bal to aid in my mastering, but dont have enough exprierence to use the pc.Ive already downloaded the har-bal into my comp.I dont have my interface,,,,yet,,,,buts its on its way.
Lots of questions---please be patient
Examlp:
I rip a song off a cd,then Im supposed to convert it,right?
Then I go into the har-bal,open a file, find the wav file, down load into the har-bal,so the bar-=bal sees it?.
What I would give,to talk to someone in person to help me get on the right track.
Thnks in advance

I am going to suggest you start here.
http://www.har-bal.com/ipw-web/bulletin ... 80765f4eb6

There is no point in calling you just yet until you become familiar with the functions of Har-Bal.
Yes, you have to rip a song to a wave file. There are a number of tools in the market that can accomplish this task. After you load the file into Har-Bal you will be able to immediately see where any potential problems are residing in the track. Please go to the link and absorb the data first.

Cheers

Ive tried and tried opening a file via har-bal.but no go.
Ive ripped a song thru windows media player, converted it into all convertsion they offer, variable bit rate, windows media audio, windows lossless?,but the bar bal doesnt see it,I can only presume that its not converting it onto wav?
I paid very close attention to the vedio, but I cant even get to the first step
Im using an e-machine pc,pentium 4,windows xp,I can only guess that I need software to convert my audio properly into wav.
