To design my new loudspeaker system with passive crossover, I want to perform modelling to obtain an optimum crossover and enclosure design. In the case of the modelling that I will be detailing, It isn’t going to be at all obvious where the origins of much of the theory lies. For those wanting to know the origin, I have cobbled together the relevant theory into an article.
Be aware though, that it assumes you have a working knowledge of differential equations, Newtons laws of motion, Laplace transforms and the complex frequency domain. On the other hand, I have gone to some length to detail each step in my analysis and the origins of non-obvious steps.
